A national hotel developer and operator bought a vacant office and retail building in central Liverpool.

The asset is located on the world famous Mathew Street which is seen by many as the birthplace of the Beatles.

Planning consent was obtained to commemorate this history by converting the ground floor, plus 6 stories into a 125-suite hotel with 553 beds.

A loan was secured against the residual value of the planning to facilitate the initial works for the development.
