Charlie Armstrong

March 19th, 2020

Charlie graduated from The University of Bath with a master’s degree in Management and Finance before working for a large commercial bank. He subsequently spent 5 years heading the investment team of a property development company and managing a private client book of investors and developers for a well-established consultancy company. Charlie has a keen understanding of both the UK and European markets, having structured a range of complicated facilities across Europe.

In his youth, Charlie was fortunate enough to play rugby for Ireland at the European Championships. He subsequently played professionally for Nottingham and lived abroad whilst playing in Hong Kong and New Zealand.

Sam Le Pard

March 19th, 2020

Sam is a qualified (non-practising) solicitor, having started his professional career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP undertaking mainly private equity M&A cross border transactions. Sam has worked in law and finance in London, Dubai and Singapore and gained exposure to construction litigation, intellectual property and competition law.

After Freshfields, Sam moved straight into real estate finance, managing a portfolio of clients at a Mayfair based structured debt advisory, before co-founding LEXI. Sam’s keen eye for detail and wider corporate experience means he manages a transaction with particular confidence.

Aside from property, Sam is interested in all things business, and is a keen sportsman, regularly running, swimming and skiing.

Nick Holding-Parsons

March 19th, 2020

Nick studied Real Estate and Finance at The University of Northumbria, before beginning his career in insurance and construction risk. From here, Nick moved into the world of real estate finance as part of a team regularly organising over £500m of debt per annum, before co-founding LEXI in 2019.

Nick’s experience spans the full spectrum of real estate asset classes with experience of residential and mixed-use development, commercial property and securing finance against all types of land.

Away from work, Nick remains an active sportsman playing rugby for the Wellington College Old Boys.

Tim Clark

April 20th, 2022

Tim is a qualified (non-practising) solicitor, with a background in law and finance.

Prior to LEXI, Tim spent 5 years working for two central London law firms where he acted for developers, corporations, and private individuals involved in real estate disputes. These disputes often centred around issues stemming from site acquisition, enforcement of lender covenants and other complex points involving the funding and development of property. Before qualifying as a solicitor, Tim worked for a global investment bank within their compliance department.

Tim brings a wealth of experience in dealing with developers, lenders and high net worth individuals to LEXI and uses his industry knowledge to find tailored solutions for clients’ needs.

Outside of work Tim is a keen cyclist, supporter of Crystal Palace Football Club and skier.

Emily Bevens

April 14th, 2021

Emily studied Psychology at Loughborough University before undertaking management and finance courses at The Open University. From here, Emily gained practical experience working for Burges Salmon in their advisory division and running the operations side of a retail business in Bristol.

Emily joined LEXI in early 2021 as our New Business Consultant. Emily is instrumental in co-ordinating and implementing LEXI’s PR and Marketing strategies and managing the company’s existing and prospective client base.

Away from work, Emily has written a series of published children’s books and has an active interest in preserving endangered species having established a charity that raises awareness of and protects the plight of wild rhinos.

Gabriella Chapman

October 24th, 2022

Gabriella bolsters LEXI’s multi-disciplinary credentials by joining from a background in real estate insurance and development advisory.

Gabriella demonstrates a broad understanding of property, has a consolidated network of industry professionals, and offers a solution-focused approach to transactions. Prior to LEXI her experience ranged on SME development transactions up to £80.0m GDV. At LEXI, Gabriella works within the origination and structuring teams to support clients, negotiate term sheets, and procure effective funding solutions for transactions across all real estate asset classes.

Gabriella graduated from the University of Manchester with a 1st class degree and outside of work, she is a keen sportswoman, regularly competing in national hockey competitions.

Sam Hesketh

November 12th, 2025

Sam has spent his career working with private clients in real estate. He has consistently outperformed his peers, ranking in the top three for business banked whilst at LDN Finance.

Sam holds a First Class BA (Hons) in International Business from Leeds Beckett University. His main responsibilities at LEXI include advising on debt requirements for residential, commercial, land and student housing transactions.

Outside of work, Sam complements the competitive nature of the LEXI team as a strong skier, six-handicap golfer and county footballer.

Michael Maullin

March 9th, 2026

Michael is a Chartered Accountant who joined LEXI having left Deloitte LLP as a Director. During his time at Deloitte, Michael advised clients across a broad range of industries in the lead-up to US IPOs, with particular experience working alongside Real Estate businesses navigating the complexities of public market transactions. He read Economics and Economic History at the University of Manchester.

Michael brings deep financial expertise to LEXI alongside a proven ability to manage intricate stakeholder landscapes under significant pressure — skills honed across years of transactional work at one of the world’s leading professional services firms. His appointment also strengthens LEXI’s regional reach, adding a dedicated presence in the North of England.

Away from work, Michael is an avid traveller and committed Newcastle United supporter, doing his best to balance both with the demands of life with a young family.

Omar Al-Harthy

September 25th, 2020

Omar graduated with First-Class Honours in Computer Science at the University of West England before beginning his career developing financial services software for a range of investment banks.

Exposure to a spread of financial markets gave Omar the ability to create and implement software that connects a range of clients to business opportunities. Key deliverables and tailored solutions include improving clients’ sourcing, selling and conversion rates. Omar’s most recent focus has been on property and, more specifically, using data science to help business leaders make decisions based on facts, stats, and trends.

Omar has enhanced LEXI’s intimate knowledge of real estate finance by cross assimilating data sources to give the team a bespoke insight to the market.

Aside from all things tech, Omar’s passions include travel, tennis, skiing and bouldering.

Mark Westwell

September 25th, 2020

Mark joined the LEXI board following a 40-year career in financial services, having held leadership roles at NatWest, Chase/JPMorgan, Bank of New York and State Street Bank. He has served as an executive board director in several regulated businesses for over 10 years, in both the UK and South Africa.

Mark’s primary responsibilities focused on strategic client management, covering all aspects of commercial and service criteria to major banks, pension funds, insurance firms and asset managers. Throughout his career he has been recognised for consistently demonstrating strong commercial growth, balanced with prudent risk, regulatory, compliance and legal considerations.

Mark is a strong supporter of charitable causes such as the NSPCC, Prostate Cancer UK and the British Heart foundation and chaired State Street Banks’ Philanthropy Committee for 6 years, allocating grants to local charities in London and Edinburgh. He’s actively supported diversity and inclusion over the last 25 years and has been a mentor to several senior business women in the UK’s 30% club since 2015.

Mark enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a keen golfer, cyclist and general sports fan.
